Currently all SADC Member States have agricultural information, however, they are all fragmented across different systems, and some of them in different formats. When data is fragmented it delays the decision-making process since it takes tremendous time and effort to locate the necessary information.
Even when all the necessary data is collected, there may be other difficulties with the collected data. This is because different organizations within the same Member States may use different naming conventions to report on the same information. This can result in misinterpretation of information, and it can also cause the same information to be submitted several times.
